Ad Astra

I am stille not quite sure what the point is to these blogs, but it is the closest thing that I have to my very own website, which I seem to desperately need in order to market myself. I have this calligraphy thing going for myself, yet I just haven't really done anything with it, and I do it so freaking well.

I am a bit aggrevated tonight it seems and there is no end in sight. I do not know why I allow my sister to sway my moods or my feelings, but she certainly does I am so freaking frustrated with her! All I want out of life is to be successful in the small goals that I set for myself, but instead of taking baby steps, my sister freaking stands still!

Ah, well, at least I am doing okay on the Helium, sort of. I am (or was, who knows at this point) in first place of one of the contests, but there is still three days left and my lead keeps slipping, sooooo.....Let's just hope that I finally win one of these freaking things or I will be even more pissed.

I guess I should begin by describing myself a bit. My name is Shawna, and I am a thirty one year old happily single young woman. I am an aspiring writer, I hope to write a best selling novel someday (or even a medocre one would suffice). At the moment I work for a fabulous company that machines, well, machinery parts. It's a metal shop and it is a great place to work. I work in the KLP or Kwik Lok pin department making the actual pins. These are pins of all shapes and sizes that have two small metal balls inside that when you press a button, the will collapse into the body of the part. When that button is depressed, the balls stand out making it hold tightly in a predrilled hole to hold two seperate parts together....blah, blah, blah. I'm sure that totally bored you.

Okay that was ultra dull. I am the eldest of three beautiful girls, so I have two sisters, mandus and Nickerson (Mandy and Nicci). Both of my sisters have children, Cory (my gorgeous nephew), and Keira  (the little princess) are Nicci and Christophers babes. Mandy has Kaylee, and is single and living in my dwelling bothering me on a daily basis.

Every day the main site that I visit is Helium, http://www.helium.com/user/edit_show/330995 (my page) a writing site where I can get exposure by authoring articles on my opinion and subjects that I may know a bit about. If you get a chance to this site and check out any of my writings I would love to have opinions about what I may be omitting from my writings or if I am prone to incorrect facts. I am not a professional in any capacity, these articles are mere musings of mine, to be critiqued by my peers. I am not going to lie, I am utilizing the web for my own exposure.

My favorite shows are The West Wing, Friends, Grey's Anatomy, CSI (Vegas and Miami), most of the Law and Orders. My sisters and I are huge Charmed fans, and can be swayed emotionally by the characters that we love in that series. I am also a fan of I love Lucy. These are shows that I will most likely be referring to in future blogs, so please be prepared for ranting and raving. I am a huge reader  I will read anything that I get my hands on, and looks interesting to me. And I am complete Shopaholic, so I need to become a professional writer as soon as possible so that I can afford my very expensive habit. My favorite stores are Victoria's secret and Borders, as well Coach and, well anything expensive, I guess, lol. Not intentionally of course.

Okay, so being a Rookie at this blog thing, I have to warn you, reader that I am completely clueless about this. I will figure it all out, of course in due time, so please bear with  me. It is extremely late at night (it is actually morning now) so I just wanted to jot something down quickly before I am overtaken with the ZZZZ's.
